Maternal Child Health addresses the needs of pregnant women, mothers, infants, children, and adolescents in order to protect, promote, and improve their health.

During the current contract with the Department of Health and Senior Services, ACHD is focusing on Selected Priority Health Issue is to enhance access to oral health services for children.

Our goal is to improve the knowledge and behaviors related to oral health care by working with dentist, local HCP, schools and WIC parents.

Love and Logic is one of America’s most practical and entertaining parent training programs. This includes steps to responsibility, solutions, consequences and choices. Parenting the Love and Logic way provides parents the opportunity to gain practical and proven tools for raising respectful, responsible, and happy children.

Safe Cribs for Missouri

It is important to create a safe sleep environment for your baby. To qualify for participation, the ACHD’s Safe Crib program guidelines include:

  • Be eligible for WIC

  • Be eligible or using Missouri Medicaid or have an income level less than 185% federal poverty level

  • Be at 35 weeks gestation or post-partum

  • If post-partum the infant should be less than 3 months old

  • A Missouri resident
